Maybelline seashore frost eyeshadow- Review & Swatch

Hi lovelies,

So what's going on...Yee very happy and exited about the CWG being held in New Delhi this year....I'll surely go there and is anyone else also going.....Hope we'll meet each other!!He He!

Anyways yesterday i went to shop a lil(yeah not much) and I got two three things out of which one was a Maybelline eyeshadow set- Seashore frosts shades.

It consists of four shades plus two applicators. I've got two three more Maybelline shadows which weren't that nice so I hesitated a little before buying this one...But the shades attracted me so I did get it. This is kind of a full eye makeup set...OK let's go on.

1. The first one is meant for the lid and. It is blue with a slight tinch of purple in it. I really like this shade coz it's quite pigmented and shows up well. You can get a subtle look on using this. It's good so i would give it a like.

2. The second one is for the crease, pinkish purple or better say mauve in color. Not as pigmented as the first one. Applying this along with the blue one gives a casual look. I like this color..Dull purple. So this deserves a like and even a bit of dislike.

3. The third one meant for the brow bone is not shimmery but matte in nature. Baby pink in color,it is not as pigmented as the rest and I literally have to dig it out a little to show it up.....Applying these three you get a classic look. Sounds interesting!!! I don't like it much so in my opinion it gets a dislike.

4. This last one is a sea green shade and I love this one as it is nicely pigmented, shows up, shimmery.....So a like. Applying all these in their respective places you get a dramatic look...Hmm let's try that too.

The two applicators are comfortable to use.

I love the packaging.

It cost me only Rs 240($5.25 approx.) which is very reasonable coz the shades in it are the ones which we quite often require.

here are the swatches( My silly camera is not working well so the shades are looking very dull which they are not)

So overall this set did not disappoint me and I'm really eager to try on the looks which I'll surely share with you guys....Ah love this world of blogging!!!

So ladies has anyone else also tried this....If yes which other shades do you have???Which shades out of these do you like or dislike??? Take care and goodbye for now.

VLCC SKIN DEFENSE SANDAL CLEANSING MILK- REVIEW

Sorry friends for keeping you all wait for a new post.
Last few days were very busy and I was quite tensed due to some reasons. I missed my readers and friends, now I'm here with something useful.
I bought this VLCC Skin Defense Sandal cleansing milk because I was highly impressed by company's other products like it's massage cream, face packs and even the face wash.

What the company claims-
This refreshing, non foaming cleansing milk is enriched with the goodness of Sandalwood, Almond & Indian Berberry extracts. It deep cleanses, nourishes and heals the skin.

Method of use-
Massage gently in circular motion with a small amount of this cleansing milk on the face & neck. Remove with damp cotton. Ideal for all skin types, but better for normal to dry skin.

Ingredients-
Indian Berberry Ext, Lodhra Bark Ext, Red Sandalwood Ext, Fenugreek Ext, Almond oil.
My own experience-
After using this product, I can tell that it's the best cleanser I have ever used. It totally justifies what it it claims.
What I like in this product?
It can remove all the makeup very easily expect the water proof makeup(which is a little tough)
                                                                I applied kajal:

Then I removed it with this cleanser.Great job! Isn't it??
I love the it's light smell.
It's gentle and I feel fresh after using it.
The price is worth the product- Rs 115 only

The consistency is neither runny nor thick.
Does not dry my skin after I remove my makeup.
What I don't like-
This product removes face makeup and eye shadows completely but it does not remove water proof mascara or eye liners easily.

It is a lotion based cleanser so it wouldn't be as good for oily skin as it is for normal to dry skin.
Will I buy it again?
yes of course, I have finished the last one and just bought this new bottle. I love this cleansing lotion.
So beauties, what's your view about this product, I really want to know it & I'll surely recommend it to all of you to try this product.

Colorbar Star Shine lip glosses and another Blog Award!!!

Hey beauties,

Would you all like to check out two lovely lip glosses from Colorbar??? I love these shades.....They're very cute ones.

Both of them are from Colorbar Star Shine range which cost me Rs 125 each.

So here we go.....

This first one's Crystalizer 002 which is a very lovely shade. It's light baby pink in color. I use this color on many outfits. I even have a natural pink with me but this one is a little dark than natural.

Here it is:

Next we come on to Jewel Bright 003. This color seems to be quite dark but actually it's kinda light red shade. First when I saw it I thought it to be really a dark shade but on trying it the shade looked really different.

Here's this one(sorry guys this one is not very clear):

And guess what? These shades are really soft on applying and if you apply it's transparent and natural shades or even Crystalizer it acts as a moisturizer on the lips and you even get a shimmery look on your lips.

So guys has anyone of you tried this range? If yes, what are your views on it. If no, guess you should try it now. Very reasonable price for a lovely thing like this. Which shade did you like the best??? Which lipglosses do you like the best??

Lakme Face Magic Daily Wear Souffle- Review

Hi ladies

Hope everyone is doing well. Very busy these days!! Anyways, weekend has arrived once again and I'm gonna rest for two days to shake off all my weariness. Terrible weather going on here. Rain Rain and only rain!!! Haven't seen a ray of sunlight since the past 2-3 days. But rains are also fun. Isn't it??

Today's review is all about Lakme Face Magic:Daily Wear Souffle. I read about this product in a magazine. It was for getting a dewy kind of look. I found it quite interesting and bought it about 3 months ago.

WHAT I LIKE:

If I'm in a great hurry this is easy to use and works like a cream+compact+liquid foundation.

Also contains bit of moisturizer.

The bottle is cute.

WHAT I DON'T LIKE:

My purpose was not fulfilled. It isn't that effective (For me). One of my friends also used it and she found it quite nice.

The color is too dark for my complexion. Gives sought of a tanned look.

When I used it for the first time it formed patchy spots on my skin.

It was only for Rs 99. Really inexpensive??

WILL I BUY IT AGAIN?? Hmmmmm....I'll have to think. Most probably NO.

So ladies this was all about Lakme Face Magic. Overall I didn't like it that much but maybe you should give it a try. Has anyone of you used it? If yes....don't hesitate to share your views. Hope it works for you. Enjoy the weekend guys!!

If you have dark lips....

Yesterday, my friend Tina visited me. We met after a long time. We often chat on the phone and she always takes beauty tips from me. This time she was concerned about her lips that had suddenly started to look dark. She was always proud of her pinkish lips but this time I got them to be dark.
During our conversation about her lips I asked some questions and I got that the reason of this darkness- a lot of exposure & use of lip color.
 Factors responsible for dark lips:
·        It's a fact that excessive use of lipstick, smoking and exposure can be the causes for dark lips.

·        Smoking is always harmful in every way. Cigarettes, coffee and tea also cause dark lips.
·        Sunrays not only harm the face but also the lips and eyes.
·        If you have dark lips, don’t try to hide it under layers of lipstick. Instead, treat them with natural products. Lipsticks are the major reasons of lip darkening.
This problem is not only with Tina but many ladies face the same.
 What should you do?
  • Use lip color occasionally only when you think it’s necessary. Always use a good brand lipstick.
  • Sunscreen with at least  SPF 15 should be applied on your lips to prevent pigmentation.
  • Every morning, use toothbrush( with soft bristle) lightly on your lips to ex foliate.
  • Always moisturize and keep them hydrated.
  • Boroline is the best product for the smoothening of lips.
  • A mixture of lime juice, honey & glycerin can be effective treatments for dark lips. Apply daily for several weeks to see the result.
  • Mix some saffron in 1 tb spoon of warm milk. Apply on your lips for about 20 to 25 minutes. Wipe it with wet cotton wool.
  • Rub on some almond milk or almond oil on your lips for at least an hour. Some lipsticks contain high percentage of lead that can darken your lips. Use only mild varieties of lipstick, lip liner, pencils and glosses.
  • Drink at least eight glasses of water every day.
So ladies if you will take care of your lips and follow these tips, you will see the result for yourself. Your lips will be compared to red roses.

When I was new to this world of blogging never ever thought of getting 100 followers.A very very very big thanks to all my lovely followers. Oh thank you soooo much all of you.
Anyways, lets talk a bit about Eid...... A fabulous but busy day after 30 days' fast, this beautiful day comes all over the world with the message of peace, love and patience.
It was my sweet reader Nisha, who insisted me to show my festival look.

Lakme- Hair Streak Instant Hair Highlighter for cool hair!!

 Hi guys,

Happy Eid in advance to all my visitors......Very exited and even tensed a little.....Eid is coming and I'm confused about what sought of a makeup should I put on. Mainly the color scheme is white or pink. Anyways we'll see that. But the hair thing I've decided....

This time maybe I'm gonna apply Lakme Hair Streak instant hair highlighter ( Ritu Beri N1 ).

Afraid of coloring your hair, a sudden invitation for a party or in functions, no time to color your hair......No probs! Try this and highlight your hair for a day or even for few hours for sheer pleasure and happiness. We can use it to accent our natural hair or to play with our looks. Use it in any way you like and get gorgeous cool, hair.

The salesgirl showed me two shades- Brown and golden and I chose the Golden one. I bought it about a year ago and at that time it's cost was  Rs 200.

DIRECTION OF USE: Just select the section to be highlighted and brush color through from root to end.

When you've applied it for the day or certain hours; shampoo your hair and it'll easily come out. When I applied it for the first time i was quite excited as my looks had really changed......

For best results apply to dry hair.

This highlighter does not harm the hair at all and it's really good for me because I hardly color my hair. The brush is similar to a mascara and it's very easy to use.

Key Ingredients: Aqua, Tocopheryl Acetate & polyvinylpyrrolidone (whatever this is....)

This is my last post before Eid and happy Eid to everyone once again.

So ladies did you like this product? Try it and rate it:

Example: rakhshanda 4/5

Lotus Cocomoist Moisturizing Lotion(review)

I brought this moisturizer for this rainy season. In this weather my normal skin becomes a bit oily so I have to try some other products which are different from the usual ones. Moisturizer is must for daily skin care.My Shamoist is the best for me in winter but I have to change it in summer & monsoon. I have tried some other moisturizers which gave good results. Today I'm gonna tell you about Lotus Cocomoist Moisturizing Lotion.

What the company claims-

An all purpose moisturizing lotion that promotes soft, silky and smooth skin.Maintains the pH balance of skin and enhance its moisture retention capacity.

Active Ingredients-Cocoa-Butter, Rose water and Honey.

Direction of use-

What I like in this product-

  • The main achievement of this moisturizer is it is not greasy.
  • In this humidity ( Dehradun experiences very heavy rains) it is greatly successful.
  • There is no trace of stickiness on my skin after applying it.

  • It's not thick & it easily smudges into the skin pores.
  • I love its light aroma.
  • I have finished half of the bottle and my skin does not experience any problem with it.
  • The cost of this moisturizer Rs. 250 is pretty reasonable.
  • The pump out bottle is nice and comfortable . I take out the needed quantity without touching & wasting it.

What I don't like in this product-

It is thin and good only in summer and monsoon but not in winter when my skin needs more moisturizer.(It is good for combination skin in cold weather).

Will I purchase it again?

Why not, but not in coming winter.

So ladies, what is your experience with this moisturizer, I'll really want to know this.

ColorBar's Perfect Gloss range-Review

Hey beauties.....what's up?

I'm really very very happy to get 80 followers. I'm actually jumping to and fro the room filled with happiness and excitement.

How about knowing about a lovely glossy shade. This shade from ColorBar's Perfect Gloss range is 002 Sweet Dreams.

It seems as if it is kind of a creamy pinkish purple shade but actually it is baby pink and is very light which suits me well. I bought it just about 2-3 months ago as a daily use product (about three days in a week).

It's kind of a natural pink and sometimes it feels that I am with my natural lips only.

As a daily use product it should actually be light only even for the working ladies who need to wear lip color every day. Here is the swatch....

The packing is good and it's quite comfortable on applying.

I love it's fragrance too...

It costs only Rs 125 for 6 ml and I've used many from this range.

This is how it looks on applying it.....(above).
