Liquid, gel...let's try a cake eye liner now!

 Good evening everyone,
I know it's been a while since I last came up with a makeup product review. Nevertheless, I'm back with the review of a fantastic product from the very beloved  brand Illamasqua. It's the Cake eye liner in Zeal, a beautiful forest/dark olive green pressed eye liner.

Talking about the packaging first...nothing different to add on, just the typical beautiful & elegant packaging of Illamasqua. The shiny little black box comes with a mirror & the product. No flaws whatsoever!

I have tried a couple of cake eyeliners before, but never found them worth a buy because, after using them I felt using an ordinary eyeshadow as an eyeliner would be much the same. But I've always have had faith in Illamasqua & was much excited to try this out. And once you apply it, no wonders it's from Illamasqua!

I use it with the Illamasqua sealing gel(review here) or with my UD eyeshadow transforming potion(review here). It might happen that you don't get hold of these products, then simply mix it with a few drops of water onto an eyeliner brush. using the former products obviously makes a difference than using with water but anyhow, the results are great both ways. It gets applied smoothly & gives a beautiful effect. There's not much of a color pop but the intensity is just perfect!
Use it over a primer & it stays on for over 8 hours, also to avoid smugding.

Overall, it's an impressive product; worth trying out! You can use it to create bold, dramatic looks quite easily! I would love to get hold of more cake eyeliners in other shades from Illamasqua!
