How to care for oily skin in summer (The Weekend Pointers)

The summer season is at its peak these days and caring for the skin becomes a great topic of concern for both men and women. It becomes a great challenge for working people and students to follow their tedious routine daily while the sun is showering flames.

Summers become a greater problem if you have oily skin. In this season, the pores of the oily skin open that which allow the dirt and pollution to enter. This is the main cause of pimples and acne. A couple of my readers requested me to write about some basic and easy tips and tricks that they can follow in summers for their oily and combination skin.

1- Oily skin girls should avoid spicy and fried food in this season. Try to take a lot of liquids like buttermilk, fresh fruit juices, watermelon, melon, yogurt and lot of water. Increase the quantity of more green leafy vegetables in your diet. Vegetable salad, fruit salad should be a part of your meal. 
2- Clean your skin with lukewarm water. It dissolves the oil of your skin easily. You should clean your face twice a day but don't forget to put splashes of fresh water on your face whenever you get a chance. Wipe your skin gently.
3- Exfoliate your skin 2-3 times at week for removing black whiteheads and dead cells into the skin. 
4- Use a water-based gel moisturizer that suits your skin that makes your skin soft but not oily or greasy.If you have super oily skin and feel oiliness on your skin after application of all moisturizers. There is a trick for you. Take a tiny amount of your moisturizer on your fingers. Spray some rose water on it. mix them and apply all over  your face and neck. If still you are not comfortable with it, spray a facial water all over your face and neck and wipe your skin with moist tissue paper.
5- Never touch the pimples with your fingers. 
6- Use a sunscreen that contains 30+ SPF and gives a matte effect to your skin without making it oily or shiny.
7- Change your makeup routine. Use a silicone-based tinted moisturizer that doesn't dissolve into the pores and clogs them. Dab your skin with ice before applying your makeup.

 8- You should apply some face masks every week. Take 2 tablespoons of Multani mitti in a bowl. Mix few drops of lemon and rose water in it. Apply this mask on clean face. Leave it for 20 minutes. Wash the mask with lukewarm water gently. Wipe your face with a soft towel and spray facial water.
9-  Take one tablespoon of honey in a bowl. Take an egg white part and a few drop of lemon and mix them well. Now apply this mask with the help of a face pack brush. Leave it for 20 minutes. Wash your face with lukewarm water first and then some fresh water. Spray some rose water after wiping your face.
10- Use of these face packs every week help to take in excess oil, take away impurities and cool the skin.
